Grid Tie Devices allow you to generate your own electricity. They convert the DC electricity generated by the Wren and Wren Extreme into usable AC electricity used by all your electrical equipment. Grid Ties work along your existing supply from the network using first power generated by the turbine and then supplemented by power from the grid if necessary. Theoretically it is also possible to export power and generate revenue, but the Wren is unlikely to generate significant export power in most situations. The SWEA grid tie inverter is small & extremely practical to fit.
