There was a time when installing a solar system meant throwing out the old combi boiler and installing a new one. Or, you could install complicated plumbing and various electrical control valves in addition to individual thermostatic mixing valves. But now, there's IntaSol.

IntaSol is an award winning patented design solar hot water diverter valve which intelligently chooses the water source to deliver hot water at safe temperatures, while using the minimum amount of energy. It allows a solar heating system to be added alongside an existing combi or instant water heating system without the need to install a new boiler.

On a sunny day, when stored solar hot water is hot enough, the valve supplies solar heated water straight to the outlet, blending it, if necessary, with cold water to make the temperature safe. On duller days, IntaSol takes warm, solar heated water and passes it through the combi boiler or instant hot water system, again blending it before delivering it at just the right temperature to the outlet.

And IntaSol provides solar rated valves as standard (important when solar water temperatures can reach 100° C) while crossflow contamination is eliminated by the clever deployment of solar check valves integrated within the valve.
