EcoEnergy buffer tanks are general purpose water cylinders that can be used for many different heating applications. The TPS range are designed to integrate with a number of heat sources and have a large integrated solar coil. The tanks also have a stratification mechanism built into the tank to ensure that the solar coil heats in a layered fashion. Typically used in wood heating installations, buffer tanks work well with any heating applications with multiple heating sources. Buffer tanks act as an energy store, storing energy until it is required. Typically with wood burning applications a minimum of 30ltrs water is required per kW output of the boiler. Buffer tanks also work well to prevent boilers cycling (starting and stopping too frequently making them inefficient).

The tanks come with a variety of connections for added flexibility and can be fitted with high performance coils for the provision of hot water or integration with other heat sources.
