Customised Mastervolt Grid Tie Inverter specially optimised for use with the Mistral or Twin Wren Configurations

Grid Tie Devices allow you to generate your own electricity. They convert the electricity generated by the wind turbine into usable AC electricity used by all your electrical equipment. Grid Ties work along your existing supply from the network using first power generated by the turbine and then supplemented by power from the grid if necessary.

The Mastervolt Windmaster 500 is a grid connected inverter for grid connection of small wind turbines. The design is based on the successful Soladin 600 Solar inverter of which thousands of units have been installed. Windmaster 500 is an “OEM” specially modified by Samrey product and is sold as part of a system through selected system integrators. The product is to be installed only with selected wind turbines. A system evaluation is part of the qualification process.

For most applications one windmaster unit per Mistral is required together with a dump load for the rare occasions that the turbine exceeds 550 watts, high wind locations can fit two inverters in parrallel to utilise all the possible generation capability of the turbine.
