The Nordica TC30 is the ultimate wood and pellet boiler system. Most Log boilers on the market today require manual lighting, involving establishing a small bed of embers and then loading the log fuel to generate hot water. The TC30 dispenses with this by utilising the wood pellet burner to light the logs loaded in the combustion chamber. Using primary and secondary fans and a Lambda sensor, the boiler can achieve efficiencies in excess of 95%.

Burning with logs
Log burners burn intensively for a short amount of time, generating a huge amount of water. This is normally then stored in a water tank or buffer store for use throughout the day by the heating system. For a 30kW log boiler, we would recommend a minimum store of 1000Litres.

Can I burn anything else?
No. The TC30 has been designed to burn logs and pellets only.

How do I load the pellets?
The TC30 has an integrated hopper and is designed to be loaded by bags or the optional Nordica vacuum feed system. The large 100kg pellet hopper will provide a minimum of 20 hours maximum output but normally should suffice for several days heating. A bulk fill option using a vacuum feed is also available on request providing very long refueling times.

I need a bigger boiler?
Most UK plumbers oversize the boilers installed in properties. 30kW should comfortably heat many larger UK properties . Biomass installations often recommend rather than switching the heating system completely off during periods of the day that the boiler runs at a reduced load during these periods as this also significantly lowers the overall heat load required by property. Talk to one of our representatives about your application if you are unsure.

Do I need anything else?
Yes. Wood pellets are a solid fuel and will require a lined Class 1 solid fuel flue. Balanced flue systems are not suitable. Log burners also require a buffer tank/accumulator.

Can I fit the boiler in the Kitchen?
No the boilers are better suited to utility room or garage space.

What does the price include?
The price stated below is for supply, delivery to your door, and 1 days commissioning. It is the responsibility of the client to fit the boiler using local heating engineers, and to provide and connect the flue system to current building regulations. EcoEnergy can assist with the overall design of the system. On completion one of our service technicians will commission the system using a check list system to ensure that the boiler has been installed correctly. The price includes 1 day commissioning service, additional days will be charged at a pro rate day rate of £300.00 plus expenses. A small surcharge may be levied for system further than 90 miles of our Chester offices.
